Seaweek 2012, One Ocean – Too Much Love? runs between 3 & 11 March 2012. Check out all that’s happening.

Seaweek Roadshow - 7 to 17 February
The Education Team at the National Aquarium will be visiting schools to promote Seaweek 2012. ‘National Aquarium on Tour’ will educate students about oil spills the hazards to marine life during 7 –17 February. It will be an opportunity to increase students awareness about the importance of sustaining our marine life. The team will present a 30 minute talk in your classroom or school hall. Children’s Day – Sunday 4 March
Theme is: love and affection.

Free entry to the National Aquarium for children 14 years and under with a paying adult. Children’s activities and prizes at the aquarium to celebrate Children’s Day.

Theme is: One Ocean – Too Much Love? The 2012 theme explores the wide variety of different uses, passions and expectations of the sea and their impact now and into the future.

Seaweek Lecture - Wednesday 7 March, 7.30pm

Oiled wildlife Response Team Leader for the recent Rena oil spill, Pauline Conanyne, will speak of her experiences cleaning oiled animals.

A teacher’s introduction to the rocky shore. Come and get your feet wet while learning about the habitats, zones, animals and their adaptations that live on our rocky shore at Hardinge Road.
