Swim with the Sharks
The National Aquarium is the only place in New Zealand where you can swim freely with the sharks (in a wetsuit not a cage). The thrill of this experience will form the memory of a lifetime as the greatest underwater predators take your breath away.
Time: Daily at 9am, 11am and 3pm.
Duration: 30 minutes.
Participants: Maximum of 5. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Bookings: Bookings are essential. All equipment is supplied and general admission is included in your swim price. Any friends, family or observers accompanying swimmers will be charged general admission.
Anyone can Swim with the Sharks!
You don’t have to be a qualified diver to Swim with the Sharks as this is a surface snorkelling swim only, not a SCUBA dive. Your swim will be fully supervised as you eyeball sharks, stingrays and skates, and get up close with local fish like Kahawai and Snapper from nearby Hawke's Bay. Guaranteed to get your blood pumping and send your adrenaline levels through the roof!
