Ask Our Staff
As you make your journey through the aquarium, feel free to ask the staff any questions you may have about our exhibits and the animals on display.

Feeding
The National Aquarium receives a daily supply of up to 40 kilograms of fresh fish for feeding. Some food is purchased through normal fish suppliers. There is strong support from fishing clubs and amateur fishermen who provide regular supplies and also donate catches from competitions and promotional catches.

Of course, not everyone at the National Aquarium eats the same food. We also have regular orders of 2 kg of meat, 2 kg of vegetables and a large number of insects.
There is also the minced up ox heart for the special diet of some reptiles, green vegetables and flowers for the vegetarian "residents".

Vitamins and other dietary requirements are an integral part of the feeding regime.
