National Aquarium Volunteers – we need you!
If you have some free time, have an interest in science and an outgoing personality the National Aquarium needs you!
Adult volunteers are needed to help with school tours, rocky shore visits and holiday programmes. Training will be given to help new guides identify fish both at the National Aquarium and those likely to be found living along the local rocky shores.
This is a great opportunity for those who have a flexible lifestyle and would like to help others learn about the wonderful world of sea creatures and New Zealand native species.
Secondary school students working towards their Young New Zealander Awards may find volunteer work at the National Aquarium helps add the necessary credits required to complete award qualifications.
