Take Part in #DrawYourDecade

2020 08 07 Draw Your Decade

Get involved with the United Nations and Ocean Wise campaign #DrawYourDecade. This international youth outreach and engagement activity aims to highlight, to the youth of the world, the coming decade of ocean science and sustainable development that will start in 2021.  Your art could influence the decisions that the UN and international governments make about the protection of our ocean.

All you have to do is answer the question below through your artistic talent along with a short written summary, then submit your masterpiece for the world to see!

"What do you want the ocean to look like in ten years?"

You can use whatever creative means you want - paint, pencil, pastels, collage or graphic design.  Have FUN and make a difference at the same time.

Entries need to be submitted before 23 November and further details can be found on the Ocean Wise website.

To help with inspiration, the #DrawYourDecade aims to draw out your priorities relating to the 7 goals of the “Ocean Decade”

  1. A clean ocean
  2. A healthy & resilient ocean
  3. A productive ocean
  4. A predicted ocean
  5. A safe ocean
  6. An accessible ocean
  7. An inspiring & engaging ocean
