Our team recently released another recovered little penguin/kororā to the Napier Port kororā sanctuary.
The kororā was found near the Marewa shops and reported to our team who, after a health check, found it to be very underweight. Following some time at our rehabilitation centre and care from our dedicated team, this wandering penguin regained it’s weight and we were pleased to see it released to a safe home at the sanctuary.
It’s now up to this little adventurer whether it decides to make the sanctuary it’s temporary home or a more permanent one that it keeps coming back to.
