World Oceans Day Poetry Competition 2019
Write a poem that reflects the theme of “Tiakina o Tātou Mōana- Care for our Seas” and enter it into the poetry competition.
There are five categories; three school* categories (Primary, Intermediate and Secondary), an adult category and a Te Reo category. (This is open to all ages. If you are a school student please state your age.)
All entries must be 400 words or less, delivered to the National Aquarium of New Zealand by 4pm Friday 17 May 2019.
Each entry must be accompanied by the entry form below. Finalists will be notified by Friday 31 May 2019.
Finalists in each category will be asked to be part of the Poetry Reading evening at the National Aquarium of New Zealand at 7pm on Thursday 6 June 2019.
