We're celebrating the wonderful colours of animals in our 'Eyes on Nature' activity at the National Aquarium these April School Holidays. There's face painting and drawing, plus search for 5 animals around the aquarium and identify what type of colouration they have to win a colourful prize pack. Learn More Here.
The international non-profit, the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and Napier City Council’s National Aquarium of New Zealand have announced an education partnership that is set to reach hundreds of schools across the country. Launched at an event at the National Aquarium of New Zealand in Napier on Thursday, the partnership includes new education resources for teachers and learners, a nine-topic series, Te Kawa O Tangaroa.
Now we’re in COVID-19 Alert Level 1, we’re pleased to advise that shark feeding in the main oceanarium recommences for visitors to enjoy every day at 2pm, along with our interactive activities available throughout the aquarium. As always, the safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and communities continues to be our top priority. We want to assure you that we’re taking the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as outlined in the Ministry of Health and government guidelines. We are looking forward to seeing you, however if you’re feeling unwell, please hold off your visit until your symptoms clear to ensure the safety of our community and staff.
