Litter Intelligence is a nationwide, long-term litter research project led by charity Sustainable Coastlines. Designated sites are 'cleaned up' multiple times a year and all litter found is classified withe data then added to a national database.
The results are accessible by all, from scientists and community groups to your class!
Sustainable Coastlines is engaging with communities across Aotearoa, providing training, equipment and technology for people to take part in the programme as ‘Citizen Scientists’.
